In Poker there are 3 directions to develop oneself, as a cash-game player, as a MTT-player and as a SnG-player. Those are, so to say, the main types of Poker games, like in Sport.

To understand this better, think about the sport skiing. You can do it alone, with a team or in a mixed version (for example a Biathlon). This is how Poker works. A good player (i.e. Sprotler) is certainly good at many things, but only when you concentrate on one game variety you can achieve a high success, but the one mistake players make is they have not tried everything out. Personally, I know many players, that have played cash-games for a long time and without success after which they tried a SnG and now make great profits. I also know a couple of people, that were good in MTT but that showed their true strength at the Cash-game tables.

You need to be experimental and utilize everything that Poker can give you. To repeat, a good player is a player that is good in all Poker varieties but a strong player is one who finds their BEST game.
