Kaleigh Moves on from WPT

Layla Kaleigh Resigns As WPT Host

Layla Kaleigh's brief stint as host of the World Poker Tour is officially over. The sassy Brit has decided to go another direction, naming personal reasons and the desire to travel as the catalyst behind her move. The London native joins a list of hosts that have stayed for a minimal amount of time including Sabina Gadecki and Courtney Friel. No one has been able to top the three-year run of the original WPT poster girl, Shana Hiatt, who went on to host Poker After Dark and the NBC National Heads-Up Championship.

"Layla Kaleigh brought great edge, wit and personality to the WPT as hostess in Season VI and we sincerely wish her well as she continues to explore her TV career," said a WPT spokesperson. "We are currently casting for the Season VII TV hostess role and look forward to introducing [the new hostess] to everyone soon."

Some experts speculate that the WPT might want to consider current online video host Kimberly Lansing as a replacement. Lansing has been handling interview duties throughout the year and came close to making the WPT Celebrity Invitational's final table by coming in eighth.

Regardless, most recent host Kaleigh has plenty of work to keep herself busy. She currently hosts MTV's popular America's Best Dance Crew and anchors the news portion of G4's Attack of the Show titled "The Feed."
