Bingo Basics

Players buy Bingo cards with numbers on them in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. Numbers such as B-2 or 0-68 are then drawn at random (out of a possible 75 in American Bingo, and 90 in British and Australian Bingo) until one player completes a ' Bingo ' pattern on one of their cards and wins the prize. Examples of Bingo patterns include a line with five numbers in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row, however there are many possible Bingo patterns to play for.

A Bingo Card contains 24 numbered spaces and one free space (blank), with which you play BINGO. The numbers are assigned at random on each card and are arranged in five columns of five numbers each by five rows (5 x 5 = 25 in total including the blank square).

The numbers in the B column are between 1 and 15, in the I column between 16 and 30, in the N column (containing four numbers and the free space) between 31 and 45, in the G column between 46 and 60, and in the O column between 61 and 75.

Playing the Game

When playing Bingo you have the option whether you would like your cards dabbed for you automatically or you can attempt to keep up yourself. When playing multiple cards at once this can be tough, and the option is always there to help the player keep up.

Every online Bingo game has a caller or a display board for the called bingo numbers.

There is very little you can do to influence or predict the outcome at Bingo. Bingo is a game of luck and is played primarily for fun.

75 Ball Bingo

75 Ball Bingo is the Bingo game played in the United States of America and Canada. Generally, the 75 Ball Bingo is similar to 90 Ball Bingo. The Bingo player buys tickets or bingo cards with predetermined numbers. A bingo pattern for each game is displayed.

Generally, each game will be offered with a different winning pattern to add more excitement to the game. Some patterns may consist of just 4 dots in the corners, or sometimes, there could only be a line dynamically varying from left most columns to lowest bottom horizontal row. In some cases, the whole card may be shaded as the offered pattern, called a Coverall. The bingo winner will be someone who has all the squares in any of his/her 5 x 5 bingo cards shaded (daubed) the same as the displayed pattern. There is a maximum of 75 numbers only, thus 75 Ball Bingo.

Generally, the 75 ball Online Bingo card patterns will come from four categories:

1. Various Patterns
2. Multi-Combination Patterns
3. Alphabet
4. Numbers

90 Ball Bingo

90-Ball Bingo is the bingo game traditionally played in the United Kingdom and Australia. The game is similar to 75-Bingo, where players purchase Bingo Cards or Bingo Tickets, then mark the numbers that are called and hope to be the first player who correctly completes the winning pattern.

Although the basic foundations of the two Bingo games are the same there are many differences. In the 90-Ball Bingo cards have three rows and nine columns. Five squares in each row contain numbers ranging from 1 to 90 and the rest are blank.

The winning Bingo patterns are always the same in 90-Ball Bingo and there are usually three patterns in each game. Each 90-Ball Bingo game has three patterns and each of the three patterns has a prize associated with it. The patterns include:

1. Single Line Across (Line) - The first player to correctly cross off any horizontal Line
2. Two Lines Across (Two Lines) - The first player to correctly cross off any two horizontal Lines
3. Full House - The first player to correctly cross off all three Lines
