Hand

Refers to the cards that you hold, or to everything that happens in a card game between shuffles of the deck.

"Hold your Hand so that no one else can see it."

Hard Hand

In blackjack, any hand that does not contain an ace valued at eleven.

"That ace is valued at eleven in this Hard Hand."

Hard Way Bet

In Craps, making a hard way bet means going for the total of the two dice on doubles. Say you wanted to go for a hard six, the only way to do it is with two threes. It is called the hard way because it is not easy to hit.

"That is seriously a Hard Way Bet."

High Roller

A big bettor.

"My Dad is a High Roller. He's always playing big money online."

Hit

In blackjack, to hit is to take another card. The card that is received by a player is also called a hit.

"Hit me!"

Hole Card

In Blackjack, the facedown card that the dealer gets. In stud and Hold'Em poker, the facedown cards dealt to each player.

"The dealer gets the Hole Card in Blackjack."

Horn Bets

In Craps, a bet placed with an equal amount on the following numbers: 2, 3, 11, and 12.  A horn bet is a one roll wager that wins if any of these numbers is subsequently thrown.

"That Horn Bet doesn't look good."

Hot

A player who is on a winning streak, or a slot machine that is paying out.

"That's freakin Hot - you're having a great night!"
