What is Blackjack Pro?
If you like Blackjack, you'll love Blackjack Pro. The version has all the thrills and strategy of traditional Blackjack, but with a Double Jack™ side bet – which means even more chances to win. Much like conventional Blackjack, number cards (2-10), count as face value and face cards (kings, queens and jacks), are equal in value to 10. Much like conventional Blackjack, number cards (2-10), count as face value and face cards (kings, queens and jacks), are equal in value to 10. Aces can be either 1 or 11 and no special significance is given to any of the 4 suits. You play against a computerized dealer. Both you and the dealer are dealt two cards. While your cards are dealt face up, only the dealer's first card is shown. You have the option of choosing an additional card by clicking 'Hit' as many times as you like as long as the total value of your cards does not exceed 21. If your total exceeds 21, you automatically lose, or 'bust'.
Once you are happy with the cards you are holding, you should click ‘Stand’. When you are finished, it is the dealer’s turn to show the one card that has been face down, or, to select another card. Once the dealer is satisfied with the cards he is holding, the winner is decided. The dealer must have cards totalling 17 or more. In the event the value of your card is greater than the dealer's, or if the dealer busts then you are the winner. Should your cards be the same value as the dealer, it is considered a ‘push’ and you get to keep your bet.
The Double Jack™ side bet option works like this: You have the option of placing this bet as part of the regular Blackjack game. This particular bet must be placed after a regular Blackjack bet and before any cards have been dealt. It cannot be changed or withdrawn after the first card has been dealt. The maximum side bet you may place is equal to the regular Blackjack bet.
A Double Jack™ bet wins if the first card in the regular Blackjack hand is a jack, or if the first two cards in the regular Blackjack hand is a pair of jacks. A Double Jack™ bet is lost if the first card in the regular Blackjack hand is not a jack. As such, you will know whether you have won or lost the bet before the regular Blackjack game continues. It’s that simple – and that lucrative!
