- Tower Gaming Disconnect PolicyTower Gaming Disconnect Policy
When playing at Tower Gaming Poker tables, or any online poker room, you are connecting to the room via the World Wide Web making your connection key to enjoying a game. For this reason, we highly suggest a higher speed Internet connection to optimize your online gaming experience.
If you become disconnected from the Tower Gaming server and fail to respond within 25 seconds when it is your turn to act in ANY real money and tournament games, your hand will be set to Fold to Any Bet (this will cause you to check if the action is checked to you or fold if there is action to you). In a multi-table tournament, you'll be given more time to reconnect. When your 25 seconds expires, your 60 second Extra Time bank will engage if you have money invested in the pot. At expiry of time in the Extra Time bank, you will be posted folded, except in the case of the final table at which players will be given up to 240 seconds to re-establish connection prior to being folded. You will continue to post and fold until you are re-connected or eliminated from the tournament (whichever comes first).

- My Connection is slow. Can I speed it up?
Especially when playing on multiple tables you can experience a slow down in your connection speed. Having several browsers open, music programs running or downloading files can all slow your computer and/or internet connection, so while playing minimize the amount of other bandwitdh consuming programs. Sharing your internet connection within your household and in your local area can also slow your connection speed, or if your internet service provider is experiencing lags. There is little that can be done in these 2 cases, but making sure that you are not running too many other programs will ensure that your connection is focussed on your tables.
Please find below some helpful tips below to minimize any lagging players may be experiencing at the poker tables:
- Avoid running any file sharing software that can affect data packets being sent from your poker program to our servers.
- Avoid running other poker software at the same time as the software demands a constant data stream.
- Avoid any Internet streaming sites that demand a constant flow of information as this may also affect the speed that your computer can communicate with our servers and lead to freeze-ups and disconnections.
- Make sure your computer has all the necessary updates installed as this may also affect you computer's performance. You can do this by selecting Windows Updates on your Start menu.
- Use the "Disk cleanup" option located in the accessories tray of your desktop to clear old programs that may be affecting the running speed of your CPU.
- Do not have too many poker tables open at the same time. Build it up gradually, one by one, to see how many your computer is comfortable handling.
- If after trying all this you still have issues you can turn off the animation in the software. you can do this by going to Options - Graphics, then uncheck all the Animation boxes.
- Do you have a MAC version?
Currently we do not offer a version of our software specifically designed for the MAC. However, it is possible to employ a PC emulator to enjoy our games*.
List of potential emulators:• Parallels Desktop 3.0 (Windows XP Service Pack 3) OR
• Crossover for Mac (Win98 Bottle with IE6) OR
• VMWare Fusion (Windows XP Service Pack 3)*Tower Gaming denies any and all liability for any loss or damages, however caused, that any User may suffer as a result of the running of the Tower Service on a MAC operating system as this Service was not designed to run on MAC.

In a multi-table tournament, you'll be given more time to reconnect and when that time expires, your Extra Time will engage if you have money invested in the pot. At expiry of time in the Extra Time, you will be folded, except in the case of the final table at which players will be given up to 240 seconds to re-establish connection prior to being folded.

You can re-buy when your chips are less than or equal to the starting stack size, within the re-buy period. Re-buys are done in the tourney specific lobby or in a dialogue box when the player has run out of chips.
- What is an "Add-on"?
An Add-on is an additional re-buy at the end of the re-buy period. At the end of the re-buy period, all players will be given the option to pay the buy-in again, and boost their stack size. This option is available to all players who are still in the tournament, regardless of their stack size.
- What is an Ante and why have Antes been added?
An Ante is a forced bet in which each player places an equal amount of chips into the pot before the deal begins. This amount is usually a small bet or a percentage of the blinds.
The ante was another item about which we received many suggestions. Antes have been added to tournaments to increase the pot size. Players stated they wanted to be able to play for bigger pots, and now you can.

If you place a bet on 0.5, you will win the bet only if your team wins or the match ends in a draw.
1x2 with Handicap (3-way handicap) is a form of betting where the draw outcome is possible, giving you 3 potential bets.
Example:1x2 with handicap (-1) - you place a bet on home and the match finishes 1-0. After you include the parameter into the score, the final score will be 0-0. This means you have lost your bet. In order for you to win the bet the match must finish with a home win by at least 2 goals;
1x2 with handicap (-1) - you place a bet on draw and the match finishes 2-0. After you include the parameter into the score, the final score will be 1-0. This means that you have lost your bet (the match didn't finish in a draw). In order for you to win the bet, the home team must win the match with only one goal difference;
1x2 with handicap (-1) - you place a bet on away and the match finishes 2-1. After you include the parameter into the score, the final score will be 2-2. This means you have lost your bet. In order for you to win the bet, the match must finish with an away win or in a draw.
- How do Asian Handicap and Over Under with integer parameters work?
In Asian Handicap/Over Under with integer parameters bets can end up having a canceled status, besides won or lost.
Example:If you place a bet on Asian Handicap 0, the bet will be canceled and you will receive your stake back if the match ends in a draw;
If you place a bet on Asian Handicap 1, the bet will be canceled and you will receive your stake back if the away team wins with only one goal difference;
If you place a bet on Over Under 2, the bet will be canceled and you will receive your stake back if the number of goals scored in the match was 2. In over under bets which team wins doesn't matter. The decisive criteria are the number of goals that has been scored.

Over Under 2.25 is a combination between Over Under 2 and Over Under 2.5.
If you place a bet on Over 2.25 and in the match there are 2 goals scored, your bet will be half lost;

The survey will remain open until the end of November, so please get all your Tower friends and anyone you know who plays elsewhere to fill in that survey so that we can make things even better! If you have already taken the survey but have other comments and suggestions, please contact our support team anytime at support@towergaming.com.
- What will happen to my money?
