Lobby FAQs

Where are the preferences?

To make it easier for players to get the preferences they desire we have separated the lobby settings from the game settings. You can click on 'settings' to change general settings, in the top right corner of the lobby. Any game play settings you wish to change can be done directly at the table.

Where is my Session Browser, and do I still have my statistics from the previous version of the software?

We have received many suggestions from players over the years in how the saving of hand histories could be improved. With the software you can view your hand history directly at the table, and every hand where you are dealt hole cards is recorded in a text file on your computer. Each new session gets its own text file and to ensure the files do not become too large, a new file will be created once the text file exceeds 4MB. These changes allow for the hand history to load a lot faster, and it will take up less memory on your computer.

The statistics from the previous version of the software are still on your hard drive as well. However, you will need an external program like a 3rd party solution (PokerTracker, PokerOffice, SQLite database, etc) to be able to access them.

On Windows the hand history files are stored in
"C:\Documents and Settings\windowsuser\Local Settings\ApplicationData\pokersite\logs"

The hand history is stored in a directory called "handhistory" which itself resides in the logs directory. Again, these files are numbered in order of age with higher numbers being older, and again files will change names as they get older.

Where is the Quick Seat Feature?

The quick seat feature is still available, just go to the main page of the lobby and you will get to choose which games you prefer to play.

Why does the lobby not always show my account balance?

If you wish to see your account balance while playing, simply click on 'show account balance' in the top right corner of the lobby when you first log in.

How can I alter the chat window, or can I close it somehow?

In the download versions of the software you are able to hide the chat window by clicking on the arrow on the left hand side of the chat window. You can also choose to make your chat window smaller or larger by moving the grey bar in the middle of the chat window up or down.

Why did you create two separate tournament lobbies?

To make it easier for players to find the tournaments they wish to play, there is now a separate lobby just for Sit and Go tournaments.

The settings in the lobby do not include game settings like the previous version of the software, where can I change my game settings?

In the software you are able to change your game play settings directly at the table, this will save you time as you do not have to go back to the lobby while playing.

Where can I find the private table tab, and how do I create them?

At the moment we do not offer the option to create private tables, we have requested to have this feature available in future updates, so stay tuned for updates.

How does the table preview and direct seating work?

This is one of the coolest additions to the software. With the table preview showing directly in the lobby you no longer have to open tables to see where the action is, or if there is indeed a seat available. Once you see a table you like, just click on the desired seat and you will be placed directly on the table. Or you can choose to open the table first and manually pick a seat at the table.

Where can I see how many players are seated?

At the moment, the amount of seated players does not show within the software. The suggestion has been made to add this to future updates.

Where do I find the Find a Player feature?

Unfortunately the Find a Player feature is not available for this version of the software. The suggestion has been made to add it to future updates.

Why are there not as many settings to change in the software?

We feel that this software has improved in visibility and navigation. With these improvements, many previous settings are no longer needed. Of course we are always open to any suggestions you have.

Where can I see my player notes?

You will see any notes you have made on players in the table preview before you sit down. They can also be viewed while you are playing by clicking on the player note symbol.

Does the software have Razz or HORSE games?

The games we offer have not changed with the software, though we are looking into the possibility of adding these newer versions of poker.

Where did the cash game waiting list go?

In the previous version of the software players were not able to see that a table was full until they opened the table, so there was a 'wait list' feature. However, with the software, it is much easier and faster to see if a table is full with the new table preview feature, so the wait list feature has been removed. Of course we are open to any suggestions you may have.

Why is my home location not showing?

Over the years more and more players have stated they prefer not to show where they are located. Because of the amount of requests received, we have removed this display. Of course we are open to any suggestions you may have.

How can I see that I successfully registered to a Tournament?

In the tournament lobby you will see a blue head appear next to any tournament you registered for. As usual, the table will open automatically once the tournament starts.

How can I see if I have a ticket for a tournament?

If you have a tournament ticket in your account, any tournament you can use it for will be marked with a little 'ticket' symbol.

Where is the 'rematch' Sit and Go feature?

This option is not available in the software. If you feel this feature would be a good addition please let us know; we are open to all suggestions.

Where did the 'replay' Sit and Go feature go?

The 'replay' feature is not available in the software because it is now much easier to locate the Sit and Go's you are interested in playing. If you feel this feature would be a good addition please let us know; we are open to all suggestions.

Where is my Tournament Session Browser?

In the software the Tournament Session Browser is not available. You will be able to use third party tracking software to save your hand histories and keep track of your statistics. If you feel this feature would be a good addition please do let us know; we are open to all suggestions.

Can I see all the tournaments at one time?

You will not be able to see one list of all the tournaments together as the Sit and Go tournaments and Regular tournaments each have their own lobby. However, within each lobby you can see the list of all tournaments in that particular lobby.

Where can I see the log files?

On Windows the log files are stored in
"C:\Documents and Settings\windowsuser\Local Settings\Application Data\pokersite\logs"

The most important log file is the "program.log"-file. It is numbered "program-1.log, program-2.log, program-3.log, etc. The newest file will always be "program.log" and older files will be numbered with the number increasing by age.
