Internet ProblemsMy Connection is slow. Can I speed it up? If you have been experiencing a slow connection, please note the following: We recommend up to 8 Mini-Tables or 3 to 4 Regular tables. Having several browsers open, music programs running or downloading files can all slow your computer and/or internet connection. Your local internet service provider may also be experiencing lag. Sharing your internet connection within your household and in your local area can also slow your connection speed. My Patch failed. What happened? This error usually refers to a firewall issue. Please ensure that Tower Gaming is listed as a safe site in your firewall settings. Look into any firewall software such as Norton, Mcafee or Windows Firewall to ensure they are not blocking Tower Gaming. You can usually do this through the settings or configuration menu and through their "allowed programs" list. For more information on this issue, please refer to your Firewall provider's user manual or your system administrator. If you would like a step-by-step guide on how to alter your Internet settings, our Customer Support Team would be happy to email them to you. I got Disconnected – what did I do wrong? If you were disconnected, it may mean that your Internet Connection to our server broke down for some reason. In the web client, just reload the game in your browser to get back. You should automatically be taken back to your table. If you get disconnected during a tournament, you will be put on autopilot (Check/Folded until return). What should I do if I lose my connection and get kicked out of a tournament? Try to log back on as soon as possible. You will still be seated at your table and being check/folded. Why is the game sometimes slow? (lag) Sometimes, poor connections between computers and ISP (Internet Service Providers) as well as our servers can result in lag-filled gameplay. This is something beyond our control. Your own connection is often improved if you close off other bandwidth-consuming programs, such as downloads, internet browsers and chat programs. Why can't I see a list of tables? All I get is a grey square. This usually means that you need to clear your "cache" (temporary internet files) or you lack the latest version of the Java plug-in. You can download the latest version of the plug-in at the Java website. I sat out for a few hands, now the game won't let me back in. Your session has expired. Quickly close the game window (table) and restart the game client. You can then rejoin the game or tournament. You won't have lost anything except Blinds while you were away. I am getting the message "Can't connect to server." If this is an error logging in, please make note of the error message and contact support. Otherwise, the first thing you should try is uninstalling and reinstalling the Tower Gaming software. If you continue to have problems, please contact support@towergaming.com. |
